How to set up mandatory data entry within an Opportunity

Hi all,

I'm very new to NXT. Is there a way to make entering a Funding Ask amount mandatory if the fundraiser sets the Status to Solicitation? I don't want anyone to set the Status to Solicitation and then just leave it at that. I want the dollar amount in before it can be saved. I was looking around in database view, and I didn't see an obvious solution.

I don't know if this type of data entry enforcement is possible in Rasier's Edge, generally.

@Kate Hanson - Unfortunately this is not possible within Web View, currently; there are a limited number of fields that can be marked required. While not an immediate solution, you could possibly create a flow through Power Automate that would send a notification to the fundraiser that created the opportunity to let them know they need to enter an ask amount, check out this link for more information on the possibilities with Power Automate:

@Kate Hanson You can vote for this suggestion in the Idea Bank - it used to be part of an overall request for required fields that had over 500 votes but that was broken into separate requests when actions received some required fields. Now we are back to 125 votes for required fields in Opportunities. This idea was created in November 2019. They don't make it easy to share links to specific ideas or maybe it's just me. ?

There is another idea I-284 that basically requests the same thing. It says Shipped but comments indicate the request has not been shipped. I just vote for them all and request they be merged so the Idea Bank can be cleaned up and the people's voice may someday be heard! Because you know they pay close attention to the Idea Bank.
