Acknowledgement SOP or Process/Procedures

Is anyone willing to share their documented process for acknowledging all donation types? I need to create a formal SOP and wanted to see what others have done.

@John Cioni Pretty basic here – anyone who makes a contribution gets an acknowledgement. Anyone that attends our annual fundraising event (which includes an auction and raise the paddle) gets a full receipt as a followup to the event. Were you looking for something more specific? Like maybe only acknowledge those over a certain gift amount? or Who signs letters and why? Or are they signed electronically? Or is there any other follow up besides the ack letter?

@John Cioni Pretty straightforward here too - gifts of any amount get an acknowledgement. There is no minimum. We then have about 12 active letter codes that we select based on either donor constituent code or gift type. Examples: General, stock gift, first recurring, Program A, Program B, Bowl-a-Thon, etc. Within those letter templates we have conditional language if the gift is a tribute or from a DAF. We're small enough that the Dev. Director hand signs for pretty much all of them.
