@Alayna Gude A good place to start is training on using RE. As a dba I'm surprised you're entering gifts without training on the software. I'm assuming smaller org and you're coming in to replace person who knew how to do it. ?

How to add a pledge

Create a gift . In the Gift type field, select Pledge. Open the Pledge Installment Schedule screen: ... Enter the appropriate frequency, the number of installments, and the starting on date.
