Display more than 200 records in directory

We are using the directories for our current family information. Part of why families use directories is to find carpool families in their vicinity. Is it possible to display all 700+ records at once? Limiting to only 200 makes it difficult for folks to use the directories in a meaningful way. Thanks!

@Becky Wilson - That limit appears to be fixed. (It may be related to limitations of the mapping service that is used.)

The search can be done by partial ZIP code, or by grade level, or a combination of the two.

We give our families this instruction doc with some search tips.

  • @Brian Gray thank you for sharing! As always, I find your documentation very useful.

@Becky Wilson hey there! I have great news - the Core team already plans to expand search results much further over the summer! Developers will work with performance restrictions to allow the maximum results without compromising functionality. Watch the release notes for an update in June/July!

any update on this release date? I am trying to review the addresses for our families and am hitting the max. 200 still. I'm not sure how to proceed when we have class sizes that exceed 200.

@Veronica Zermani the work was pushed and some unexpected problems arose this summer. Expanding directory search results is planned for this month.

@Veronica Zermani if you're trying to review addresses, have you considered using the Household and address list in Core>Users? All addresses for students appear by default, but you can also show incoming students if needed.

  • @Jessi Walters I was using the directory to check the shared addresses between family members. Upon import, some of our family addresses were not shared correctly, and the directory is a helpful way to show when a student/parent has the same address but is not “shared."
