Link an Email in Resource Board

I am building a resource board for parents and we have a couple tiles that need to directly link to an email, tech support for example is just an email, no website or other information.

Is there any workaround for adding an email as a link? The typical mailto:techsupport@hrs doesn't work in links, but building a detail page with only a link to an email feels weird. Ideally, the image would open a webpage and/or email app with the email populated.

We were able to work around this by using a link specifically for the Outlook web app - format is https://outlook.office.com/mail/deeplink/compose?to=[EMAILADDRESSHERE]
