RE NXT Giving Panel

Hello, Everyone.

In the RE Database View, we collect all charitable donations (tax deductible) and exchange transactions (ie. Registration Fees). However, when you look at the Giving Panel in RE NXT, it doesn't separate the donations from the fees. So a constituent may show a lifetime giving of 10K, but in actuality only half of it is donation (and the other half could be payments for event registrations). Any ideas of how I can do a work around for this in NXT?

The only thing I can think of - but I don't believe it will solve the problem - is to adjust the Gift Types being included as Recognition giving. But that would only work if you used a specific gift type - such as Other - for your exchange transactions. If those gifts were consistently coded as “Other”, they could be excluded.

It may just be something that staff needs to be educated on, unfortunately. I'm not aware of any upcoming changes to this calculation.
