Constituent Information Verified

Hello all,

I've searched for this topic with no luck. We have embarked on a project to clean-up the database…I'm sure very familiar to all! When doing this type of clean-up how do you (or do you not) indicate that you spoke with the constituent and the phone, email and address are correct as of this date? Add a note? When we make changes, the system gives us those handy dates but what about when no changes are made?

@Nora Langolf One option might be to enter “Verified” in the comment field for phone/email. That will then cause date to be changed.

Address - little more difficult. If it was truly important to have notation it was verified maybe Info source “Constituent verified 2023”

@Nora Langolf - I would create a constituent attribute/custom field for this; it will be easy to search on and includes a date.

@Nora Langolf, I like @JoAnn Strommen's suggestion, although I would suggest an Address Attribute for this function if you want to be able to filter on this field in Exports. Keeping the tag unique to the phone/address record allows you to denote which information specifically has been verified. (For example, perhaps you have verified the address, thanks to a Christmas card the donor sent, but you have not verified the phone - or vice versa.)
