Matching Gift Prospects

Hello! We have a challenge match and would like to code prospects for this specific campaign. I would love your suggestions for the most effective means coding these targeted people/foundations. Thank you!

Do you have the prospect module? If so there would be some options there: Classification, Philanthropic Interests.

Other database options would be to add a specific appeal “Challenge Match ABC” to their records (this could also track responses/gift amounts). Another might be a constituent attribute. You could use Notes if you have specific info you want captured regarding the prospective donors that is not already stored elsewhere.

I would make Appeal name, Attribute Category/Description or Notes type, if used, a table choice so data entry is consistent so you can easily query on it.

Just some thought. I'm sure others will have more suggestions.

@JoAnn Strommen Great suggestions, thank you! Yes, we do have the Prospect module so this may be an option, but I also like the idea of creating an Appeal. Thank you for these suggestions!

@Natalie Proudfoot I think the only challenge with the Appeal would be if you are using that in any other way for the gifts in question.
