Merging Constituents

Hello everyone,

Currently doing some database cleaning at the moment and I am using the Duplicate Management tool in webview but I wanted to know if I also had to merge constituents in database view? I know that in webview the source constituent does not get deleted so is it correct to create a query of those source constituents and then delete them or first merge in database view and then delete the source constituent.

@Kassidy Castellanos If you merge in Database View, you can have the sytem delete the old record when you merger, but if you are using merge in RE NXT Web View, you will have to do what you stated and create a query of those records to delete after you do the merge. The choice is up to you.

@Kassidy Castellanos - I recommend you follow the steps outlined in the post below. Not all data lives in web view, there are some instances where you need to do a secondary merge in DBV.
