Adding volunteer solicitors to an action

Hi, we are looking for ways to add campaign volunteer solicitor(s) to an action that would allow us to pull and export an action report for each volunteer, so that they could see what their next steps are across any number of opportunities they are helping solicit. Does anyone have suggestions? Are you using a custom field?

@Shaundra Mitchener why not use the Solicitor / Fundraiser field for this? You can mark your volunteers as solicitors / fundraisers, and use a specific solicitor / fundraiser type to identify them as “Campaign Volunteer” or merely “Volunteer”. I've done that plenty of times and it works great.

@Karen Diener You are absolutely correct; I think I was hoping there would be a way around having staff working in DB view when I'm pushing them all to do their work in NXT One day I'm sure. Thanks.

@Karen Diener Totally agree. If there's a valid reason not to include them as solicitors/fundraisers, then reporting will be more challenging, but would be possible with a table based custom field/attribute on the actions.

@Shaundra Mitchener I'm not sure why you think this requires any work in DB view. All these steps can be performed in NXT. Once the volunteers are made solicitors/fundraisers, they can easily be added to any action.

@Dariel Dixon Does the volunteer need to be an assigned solicitor on the constituent record or does that matter?

@Shaundra Mitchener Not at all. You can add any solicitor to any action. Assigned solicitors are suggested first, but you can add any solicitors.
