I am looking for best tips to engage alumni. What have you done to get alumni to do the initial log in for whichever system you are using? At this time we are not looking into a new system but tips to get that first point of engagement. Thank you in advance!

@Julie Katz I'm not sure if this is the right forum for your question. Are you possibly using NetCommunity for a login portal or RE NXT?

@Christine Robertson currently we are not using anything but could potentially use Education Management at this time. We have looked at Almabase but that too the big question is just getting Alumni to log in that first time.

@Julie Katz That's the million dollar question for certain. It's really hard when you have to compete with social media for attention. I would look to leverage those social channels as much as possible. This is a struggle without question. Also, keeping content fresh is a must regardless of platform.

@Julie Katz I think Education Management is more for tracking current students (as well as their parents). Social media can be a good way to engage alumni (different age groups will resonate with different platforms for sure!).

@Christine Robertson we no longer use Net Community. We do use RENXT. Since we have Education Management we are probably going to start there with alumni as they are already logging in there for high school and then they would have access to an alumni directory, resources and calendar.
