LO Ticketed events: billing name overwriting registrant name

For calendar ticketed events, our requirement is to have an event on constituent's profile regardless whose credit card was used.

We ran into an issue that a registrant information must be the same as the billing (payment) information, otherwise we observe the following behavior:

• For existing constituent: If same email is used for registration and billing, the holder of a credit card becomes the event registrant
• For new constituent: If email is different for registration and billing, a new profile is created that uses billing name and registrant's email address.

Note: we have unique email matching enabled.

As per BB support, there is no setting in LO that can solve this. Would appreciate suggestions on how to satisfy our requirement.
