Different types of Candidates (Transfers)

Is there a way to create a different type of Candidate? For instance, I would like to have a candidate and a transfer candidate. That way, we can have one enrollment checklist and assign specific steps based on the type of candidate they are.

I only have experience with K-12 and it sounds like you're talking about higher ed but if the two systems are the same/similar, you could create two different school program types under Admissions Setup → Candidate profile settings → School Program Types and then under Admissions Setup → Checklists → Auto-select settings you could set it up to assign a standard candidate checklist if the program type matches standard or the transfer candidate checklist if their program type is transfer.

Hopefully this helps and apologies if the higher ed version of EMS doesn't have these same settings.
