What is the cost of Constant Contact and how integrated is it with RE NXT?

The partnership between Blackbaud and Constant Contact is a "native" integration. This means it was co-developed to be a built-in feature rather than an add-on you have to buy from a third party.

1. What is the cost?

There are two components to consider:

• The Integration itself is free: There is no additional fee from Blackbaud or Constant Contact to "turn on" the sync. Every Raiser's Edge NXT environment is already equipped with the capability to connect.
• The Constant Contact Subscription: To send emails, you do need a paid Constant Contact account. Pricing is tiered based on the number of contacts you have and the features you need (like AI automation or SMS):
  • Lite: Starts at $12/month (Basic email and social tools).
  • Standard: Starts at $35/month (Adds automation and A/B testing).
  • Premium: Starts at $80/month (Adds advanced segmentation and priority support).
• Nonprofit Savings: Constant Contact offers a dedicated discount for nonprofits. You can save 20% if you prepay for 6 months or 30% if you prepay for a full year.

2. How "Integrated" is it?

Here is how deep the connection goes:

• Single Sign-On (SSO): You don’t need a separate password. You can log into Constant Contact using your existing Blackbaud ID directly through the Raiser's Edge NXT interface.
• Live Engagement Data: You don’t have to leave RE NXT to see how your emails are performing. A dedicated "Engagement Tile" on each constituent record shows you their last 100 activities (sends, opens, and clicks).
• Automated Syncing: You can set specific RE NXT "Constituent Lists" to sync automatically with Constant Contact. When you add a donor to a list in RE NXT, they are automatically added to your email marketing audience.
• Consent Management: The integration respects your data privacy rules. You can map Constant Contact lists to specific RE NXT Consent Categories. If a donor unsubscribes from your newsletter in Constant Contact, their "Consent" record in RE NXT is updated automatically, keeping you compliant.
