Data Governance Policy?

My institution is attempting to drive forward a University level data governance policy and I am sitting on the working committee for that project. I thought I would lean into the wonderful bee hive here to see if anyone else works at a University where they have a published governance policy that might help the committee evaluate best practices, etc. If you work somewhere that has an established policy that can be shared I would be forever grateful!

Congrats on starting a data governance policy! This is such an important yet overlooked step. I've worked on these committees before, and while I don't have access to the documents we created, I will say it was helpful to see. I did not create these at an education-based organization, but I think the concepts are very much the same.

I struggled to get buy-in from some uninterested departments initially, but once I did their contributions were considerable. Having a variety of input is the biggest thing you can do, especially if this will be an enterprise level policy. Good luck!
