No Account Distribution Report in WebView

TIL that the Account Distribution report will not be migrating to web view and I am at a bit of a loss as that is a key tool for my monthly reconciliation. We are a small shop and our accounting software does not integrate with NXT, so I export the account distribution report to create my entries and include in my reconciliation paperwork.

Any suggestion for another report which will give me the same information that the Account Distribution report did?

I have never used too many of the standard reports so am not sure if there is a different one that will suit your needs. Have you explored the other standard reports and then checked to see if they will move?

The only other option would be an Export, though I know those can be challenging because they are Excel or CSV formats and there is no way to confirm that no changes were made to the data after exporting. But if it is your only option, that may need to be the solution.

I'm thinking I may have to start running a query and exporting that to get my data. While not ideal, it may suit. But I will spend some time poking around the other reports and see if they will do the job.

I've always used a pivot report in Excel for reconciliation. Export a gift query or export with the needed fields like fund, batch number, split amount and Cons ID and then pivot first by fund and then by batch summing the gift amounts. The Filter should be the Post Date and Status. Then compare the totals for the month by fund to the corresponding data from the accounting software to make that that the totals are the same. This checks both to make sure the dollars between systems match but also the proper allocations from RE were followed to ensure donor intent is honored on the spending side.

P.S. It is silly that RE doesn't have a standard reconciliation report. A long-time shortcoming of RE.

I also currently use this report for reconciliation. While it can be done in query/excel/pivot, it is still very frustrating to me that seemingly so many functions that are really valuable in DBV are not going to be migrating to web view. Is there a centralized site or way to find out exactly what is being lost from DBV? Mostly I have been finding out by hearsay and on this group chat. As an example, something as simple as the ability to create 'legends' for a quick view of gift types (colors, extensions) makes a key difference in user interface and why I still go to DBV for a much quicker way to eyeball giving than the donor tile in WV. I hope they are going to do something to improve the 'work with gifts' and overall gift area in WV for sure. Ok, rant over for now.

Everything you're asking about has been discussed in various ways by BB this week, it looks like you need to use these two resources to get into the communications loop. Hope that helps.
