Unable to edit gift to Not receipted in RE NXT and clear out date

In RE NXT I tried to edit gift receipt like I do in database view and am unable to mark the gift as not receipted or needs receipt. In database view, I am able to change to not receipted and clear out date and receipt number. That way when we run receipts it will pick up this gift and create a gift receipt to be mailed. We have donors who give online but request a paper receipt. We will need that same functionality in RE Nxt before we can switch over from database view to RE NXT.

Can you say a little bit more about how the gifts are being marked as Receipted in the first place? Are you marking the gifts as receipted at the point of entry because they received a transaction confirmation at the point of making an online gift through and NXT donation form?

Or, are you sending e-receipts and then want the ability to send a paper receipt afterwards upon request?

Understanding your process will help folks give better answers!

But to your specific point, that functionality IS coming to webview. Hopefully @Anthony Gallo can give more information on the timeline.

Our online gifts come through a third party and we import by batch through Omatic. The gifts are all marked as receipted because they receive their donation receipt upon their transaction processing. We have donors request paper receipts for these online gifts. When they request a paper receipt, we are able to change/edit the gift in database view to change the gift from receipted to Not receipted. We process our manual/paper receipts each week through "Mail" and Mail merge in database view and it will pick up any gifts marked as "Not receipted". I have been trying to use RE NXT during this "transition" period, but every task we attempt in RE NXT, we are not able to get the same functionality that we have in database view.

Got it! That makes sense. Hopefully we'll get some direction as to when it will be available.
