Currently, our organization utilizes annotations on both Constituent and Fund records in the database view substantially. We store critical information that users MUST know when they open a record, and we check the "display automatically" box so that the user is forced to see the message and click to close it. Blackbaud has brought constituent annotations over the web view, calling them "Alerts." They display as a blue bar across the top of the constituent page (if "display automatically" is checked). However, they have not yet chosen to bring fund annotations over to the web view at all. I have just spoken with Blackbaud Support, and they do not have any plans to do so. They recommended that I just move the data we currently have in the annotations to the Summary Note field. Unfortunately, we store a different and very specific bit of information in the Summary Note field and therefore cannot simply move our annotation data there. This is a huge problem for our organization. We currently have 788 fund records with critical annotations. We really need for Blackbaud to bring Fund annotations/alerts over to web view just like they did for constituents!
I have created a post in the Idea Bank for this. If you also would like for Fund Annotations to be brought over to the web view, please vote!
