Membership transition to web view

I received the email sent out from Tiffany Crumpton yesterday encouraging organizations to begin transitioning to web view before database view is discontinued in a year.

I’m curious how other membership-based organizations are approaching this when NXT is still missing some basic functionality, like an online membership form.

Has Blackbaud provided a timeline or roadmap for when the remaining functionality will be available in NXT? I’d particularly appreciate hearing from Blackbaud staff or other organizations that have been given guidance on when they expect NXT to be fully functional. I will plan our transition accordingly. Thanks in advance!

The first place I check when people ask about functionality is the Feature Grid.

Other than that, pay close attention to inside track sessions and PUBs. Watch every one of them that is available because they do share timelines. I'm sure you are busy - like everyone else - but this is a critical part of your job so hopefully your organization recognizes that!

We are showing membership forms live on our database as of about a week. Look under "Online Giving" for membership forms. They are basic, and for us without features like autorenew/recurring gift it would be a real downgrade. Try voting for ideas like this to improve the product

I was looking at our memberships today in RE NXT and did not see where I could drop a membership or renew one. We don't use forms and are not connected to BBMS. I could totally be missing those features if they are moved somewhere other than the Membership Tab of RE NXT.

Hi Debbie, the ability to Renew/Upgrade/Downgrade/Rejoin/Drop is not yet available in webview so you are not missing anything. You'll need to continue to do those tasks in database view for now. The Feature Grid targets late 2026/27 for this to be available. Stay tuned to the in-product What's New, Product Update briefings and the Roadmap to Readiness Inside Tracks for release dates.
