Required Custom Fields?

Hello, we currently have a few Attributes in database view that are required to be added to each new record in order to save the record (namely, Added By and Origin). However, there does not appear to be a way to require users to add those "Custom Fields" in NXT. Is that correct? Is there really no way to mandate that certain Custom Fields are added before saving a new constituent?

Right now the required field options in WV are limited, and do not talk to the required field list in DBV. What you're experiencing is correct.

I recommend two things -

• Set up a weekly maintenance query that looks for newly added records missing your required attributes/custom fields.
• Visit the RE NXT Idea Bank and vote for any ideas associated with expanding the required field options in WV. If you have time, add a comment. They help define the why this is needed for Blackbaud developers.
