Can I apply a other gift to a pledge and have it remain Pay-Other in Web View Batch Entry in Raiser's Edge NXT??

Robb Hoffman

Blackbaud brought the GLs over for all the existing gift types, but the functionality to use them doesn't exist in webview.

Help Article that Akash created that doesn't actually solve anything. https://kb.blackbaud.com/knowledgebase/articles/Article/209004

Understood now. Yes, currently the only option is to apply a new gift to a pledge (and recurring gift as of tuesday). This changes the type to pledge payment (or recurring gift payment). The ability to apply an existing gift to a pledge or recurring gift is planned for Q1 and that should close the loop here.

The functionality to apply an existing gift to a pledge is coming in Q1. Right now you can apply a new gift you are adding but if it already exists as a gift, the part of the workflow is still in development. We want to deliver the "Overfunding" work first so we can handle if those gifts are over the amount of the installment and that work is shipping in October.

Hi Anthony. The issue is that applying a new gift to an existing pledge with the gift type "other" (both pledge and payment are Other) is resulting as a pay-cash when processing it in the unified view. It should be Pay-Other. Will this functionality be added?

Will the pay method of 'Standing Order' also be included in this work?

Anthony Gallo

By payment method of standing order, are you talking about the standing order import into batch or are you actually saying you have a payment method of standing order in your system?
