Re: 🚀 Join Us: Automation That Outlives You
I will not be attending BBDevDays, but want to thank you in advance for this presentation!
Technical debt / knowledge debt is already a significant problem at nonprofit organization. How many times have we all heard "there is no policy" or "no one documented the procedure", or "who will share their manual / process for XYZ"?
While these advanced tools have the potential to greatly increase efficiency, they will add to the technical debt if not created elegantly or documented carefully.
Re: Full Donation Referral URL not coming through into RE NXT when using QR code
Thanks, @Crystal Bruce. Honestly, it is such a headache and waste of time to get through the AI chatbot and initial support agent gauntlet to get a support case opened that I was really hoping to crowdsource from the community before going that route. The poor experience with tech support is a huge barrier to reporting bugs.
Re: Split Gift Receipts
@JoAnn Strommen @Dan Snyder The answer that support and I concluded after a lot of testing in their test database and mine is that it displays in the order that the Funds are added to your database. The oldest fund displays first on the receipt. So far that theory has proven to be true (but to be honest I was given a lot of other answers before that one so it could still be wrong…).
Now how they display on the gift tile/tab in the database, I also can't quite figure out. It also seems to export in a random order too. That matters a little less to me, since its an internal thing, but just an interesting thing to note!
Re: Returning the designation of a constituent's last hard OR soft credit gift?
I’ve encountered this issue before. To “unlock” the Recognition Credit Types options, ensure that when you create the smart field (either Constituent Revenue Application Amounts or Constituent Recognition Credit Dates) you select Constituent Revenue Recognition in the “For” field on the Parameters tab (underneath values to return. This selection will enable the appropriate options. Hope this helps!
Maximizing Fundraising Potential: Strategic Uses for ResearchPoint™ Batch Screens
For schools and colleges: New parents/grandparents. Depending on the size of your enrollment, you can choose to screen the whole list of parents and/or grandparents, or you may choose to screen only those who are “full pay.” Some schools have a special President’s Reception during move-in week, and the screening can be a good way to identify parents who might be invited to this reception. If your school has a Parent Council or similar group with a fundraising goal, the screening can also be a good way to identify potential new members.
For higher education: New graduate-level alumni. Individuals earning graduate degrees are often established in their careers, and some may have significant assets, especially in real estate and business ownership.
For cultural organizations: New members. A wealth screening of new members can identify individuals who have substantial wealth indicators. These individuals can be invited to special events and cultivated as potential donors.
For all organizations: Event attendees. Does your organization have an event or events during the year likely to attract a number of new attendees? This group can be screened to identify potential donors. (Screening this group also will depend on the amount of information that is gathered on event attendees, since an address is needed for best results.)
For all organizations: New donors. Depending on the number of new donors, the frequency of these screening may vary, but it’s especially helpful to screen these new donors within 30 days. If the number of new donors each month is very large, you can screen only donors at a certain level (for example, new donors of $500 or $1,000). This screening can identify individuals who are making a smaller initial gift but may have the potential to give much more with time and cultivation.
For all organizations: New additions to the database. Again, depending on the number of individuals added to the database within a given time frame, the frequency of screening may vary. The priority on screening these individuals will also depend on whether they fit any of the other categories above, and if not, the reason why they are being added to the database. If they are from a purchased acquisition list, it might be prudent to wait until individuals engage before screening.
If you have multiple categories that you may want to batch screen, you may want to develop a standard procedure for screening priorities (i.e., new parents first, then new donors over $500, etc.). When you are ready to screen, you can import the list into ResearchPoint and screen it (see Blackbaud Knowledgebase 59619 How to import new records into ResearchPoint and then screen them through WealthPoint).
Strategic use of batch screening can be a great tool to identify potential new fundraising prospects. The suggested groups above can get you started on your identification journey. Happy prospecting!

List Execution Jobs Throwing "OutOfMemory" Exceptions
I should start this off by saying that I know list execution jobs are in preview, and not yet fully supported. This is more feedback/suggestion than anything else.
List execution jobs created through the List Execution Job (Create) endpoint have a habit of failing and returning System.OutOfMemoryException exceptions after running for an hour or so. This mostly happens when running larger advanced lists (70k to 80k rows), but it's not exclusive to large lists.
In the rare case when they do succeed, the largest list is about 10-15MB at the most; so they're not super massive. The same advanced lists tend to succeed more frequently when requested page-by-page through the List Single endpoint.
The ability to use list execution jobs to run larger lists would be extremely helpful, as currently we're having to run 90 or so requests to paginate through some lists, and it's cumbersome. The list execution jobs don't need to be lightning-fast, as long as they're reliable.
Anybody else experiencing similar System.OutOfMemoryException exceptions with list execution jobs?
Re: What's New In Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT® — May 12, 2026
I checked a Fund record that has received 89 gifts this fiscal year, but nothing showed on the Analysis or Details tab. I believe it is because I switched to Tab view, because when I switched back to Tile view there is information showing. It is glitchy moving from Tab to Tile view - I had to re-select the environment, which returned me to the home page. I also had to do that three times before I finally got back to tile view.
Could you clarify this statement: "You can now add new tabs to Campaign, Fund, and Appeal records to surface the information that matters most to your organization — so the record works the way your team works." Does that mean developers Tabs along the top navigation, or that users can configure their own tabs? It sounds like a potentially useful feature.

@Karen Diener Mine is doing that as well!
Re: Online Data Review for Event Registrations in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT®
Hello all,
When events have a capacity limit on the Registration Fee, do "pending" registrations count towards the cap?
If an event registration fee is 100 and we have 95 added with 5 pending in online data review, will RE understand and close the registration? Or is this a bit of a loophole and donors could still register since the 5 registrations were "pending" and the Capacity (on the registration fee not the event) had not been officially hit?
Thanks,
Matt
