Blackbaud Grantmaking Development Update: Announcing Browser-Independent Access
Today we have exciting new for all Blackbaud Grantmaking customers!
Until today, Blackbaud Grantmaking was only compatible with Internet Explorer 11, making it difficult or impossible to use on Mac computers or in environments that did not have access to IE 11. We know this has been a major source of frustration, and today we are happy to share a solution.
By following the instructions at the link below, you can now use Blackbaud Grantmaking in any major browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari), on any computer (including both Windows and Mac computers). The experience is the same as the Blackbaud Grantmaking you already use today and you can get started right away without any disruption. If you are already able to access Blackbaud Grantmaking, no change is required – keep doing what you’re doing today.
For more specifics on how to make this independent access option work and on the solution’s specific functionality, please visit the Knowledgebase article on this topic. This article contains everything you need to get up and running.
This new browser-independent access option works by letting you access Blackbaud Grantmaking via a “proxy server” which runs Internet Explorer in a virtual machine. That means that Blackbaud Grantmaking works in your browser of choice, and you don’t need to have Internet Explorer installed.
In 2020 we are continuing to invest the new SKY UX interface for Blackbaud Grantmaking, which will bring with it a new and improved login system, streamlined navigation, and native support for all browsers and devices without a need for this browser-independent access option. For more information about the new SKY UX interface, see our Roadmap Update from December 2019, and keep an eye out on the Events page on Blackbaud Community for an update coming soon in April.
If you have any trouble accessing Blackbaud Grantmaking or need further assistance, please create a case with our support team at https://support.blackbaud.com. And if you have any feedback about Blackbaud Grantmaking, I would love to hear from you in the comments in reply to this post.
Thank you for your time and I am looking forward to sharing more good stuff in the future!
