ResearchPoint November 2016 (4.93) Release 2934

ResearchPoint November 2016 (4.93) Release

Published

This past weekend (November 12 - 13), we updated ResearchPoint standalone customers to the November 2016 (4.93) release. Here is a summary of the new features.

Organizational Units Task Removed

Users that have the Prospect Research Manager (PRM) role no longer have the Organizational units task available to them under Configuration on the Administration page. Due to the recent implementation of single sign-on (SSO) for ResearchPoint, it is no longer necessary for PRMs to perform tasks related to organizational units.

Target Analytics Data Updates

Since our 4.92 release, we have refreshed the data for Marquis Who's Who, NOZA, Federal Elections Commission (FEC), and Thomson Reuters Business Intelligence (TRBI) in our Target Analytics database. Now, when you perform WealthPoint screenings on a prospect's wealth and ratings record, or when you perform a screening on your research lists, you'll have the latest self-reported biographical data, philanthropic gifts, political donations, and income records.

Content Updated on Start Page

In this release of ResearchPoint, we've made a change to the start page content.

We removed the Case Central section, and replaced it with new content that links to the Target Analytics Community. You can use the Community to interact with fellow prospect researchers, fundraisers, and development officers. Post a question and watch as your peers and our experts weigh in with their best practices. You can even submit an idea for the ResearchPoint Development Team.

Upcoming Updates to ResearchPoint

For the November 2016 release, we’ve been busy fixing bugs and making improvements behind the scenes. We've also continued updating our vendor data, with Who's Who, NOZA, FEC, and TRBI updated in October. While you may not currently see many updates when you use ResearchPoint, we’re excited to tell you about new features we’re developing for release in early 2017.

First, we’re improving the way you can import when you have both scores and constituent information to update. Second, we're adding functionality to merge records, which will allow you to clean up duplicates in your system. This has been a longtime request from users in our community, and we are excited to finally work to deliver on this request.

Any questions or have feedback?  Share your thoughts here in the Target Analytics Community.

The Community link on the start page is a great addition. I'm looking forward to the possibility of being able to merge records and improving the import process.
