We Like to Move It, Move It: First Annual Support 5K Crawl/Run/Walk

Published
This year, our Support teams came up with the First Annual Support 5K Crawl/Walk/Run. The winner of this 5K had the opportunity to have $150 donated to the non-profit of their choice.

There was no crawling (thankfully, even the babies were strapped into their strollers) but 40 participants from different departments came together to cheer each other on and walk/run for the opportunity for the big prize.

Of course, with every race is a winner and this year's winner was Jennifer Deman, a senior Software Quality Analyst, who finished with a time of 25 minutes and 52 seconds. Go Jennifer!

Good job, Jennifer!

Jennifer decided to donate to Field to Families, a Charleston non-profit that works to ease hunger in the Lowcountry by gathering nutritious crops from generous farmers and community gardeners. The second place runner up was Kim Romaszewski with a time of 26 minutes and 35 seconds. She donated $75.00 to the American Heart Association via the Dallas Heart Walk.

Cary McDonald, a senior Product Support Lead, took lots of other great pictures. Check them out here: http://www.carymcdonald.com/Sports/Blackbaud/Race-1/.

As the year continues, keep an ear (or an eye) out for what else we are doing in Support to give back!
