Community Happenings: May 9 2017

Hello Community!
Not all superheroes wear capes.
We’ve heard that phrase before and last week, you shared your own personal superheroes. This week, I’m sharing mine with you – my fellow Community managers: Ami Defesche, Crystal Bruce & Holly Herbert.
Why? I’m preparing to be out for what I’m calling the worst vacation ever (medical procedure & recovery – boo) and they’ve stepped up to cover my communities without blinking an eye. While I hate to leave, I know they’ve got this and I can't thank them enough.
This situation reminded me that life isn’t meant to be lived alone. Friends are lining up to check in, family is visiting, and I’ve received many well wishes. I’m getting promises of memes, jokes, texts, calls and I even got a hug from a friend yesterday (our first friendship hug!).
In the crazy day-to-day, it’s easy to forget that we need others to live – the people in our lives are what make life the grand adventure it is. Even here in the Community, you rely on each other to get answers to your questions & share resources so you can do your job better and achieve your mission.
So let me share what’s going in the Community this week:

- What did you miss at bbcon 2016? Check out our exclusive webinar series bringing back speakers from last year’s event. It’s about as close to a time machine as we’re going to get!
- Are you in the Phoenix, AZ area? Join a Raiser’s Edge user group on May 12. Breakfast AND lunch will be provided. Woohoo!
- Have you heard of “BoomerTrillion”? As in Baby Boomers and the $1.5-$6 trillion dollars they are projected to give between 2017-2030. Make sure your organization is tapping into this audience.
- Learn how to create forms in eTapestry with ease in this week’s webinar. Can’t make it? Check out the eTapestry community for more dates!
- We want to hear about your experience with TeamRaiser in the Community this week. Take a quick survey and help us make it a better product!
- Talking about opinions, have you see the Raiser's Edge TrustRadius report? If you’re using the product, take the survey and receive a $25 Amazon gift card.
Alright, favorite community, that’s it for now. While I’m gone, my super heroes will be filling you in with what’s happening in the Community. At the end of May, there will be a special guest so keep your eyes out and I’ll see you all soon!
