New Community Badge: Become a Collaborator!
Published
Since we launched the Covid-19 forums in March, we’ve seen members come together to share best practices during this challenging time.
To honor this spirit, we were inspired to create a new badge in Community! The information below was for months March - June 2020.
Going forward, check out the latest "It Takes a Community" blog in Community News to see how you can earn it for the current month.
The Blackbaud Community is a place where great minds come together to share ideas, ask questions, make new friends, and most importantly help each other out. In that spirit, we are announcing a brand new badge you can earn in Community!
Those who earn the “Collaborator” badge will accomplish three simple, but helpful tasks.
That’s it! If you complete those three tasks, every week on Friday, we will award the new “Collaborator” badge to members who have completed those three simple tasks.
It’s our way of saying “thank you!” to members like yourself who take the time to ask questions, answer questions, and make connections. Helping actions that will continue to strengthen our great Community.
Let us know in the comments below if you are going to earn this new badge and wear it proudly on your profile.
We appreciate you all supporting social good!
Those who earn the “Collaborator” badge will accomplish three simple, but helpful tasks.
- Post a question. It can be product/solutions related or it can be about COVID-19 best practices. It can even be something fun in our “Just for Fun” section!
- Answer a question. There are ways to find unanswered questions in Community by clicking on the “No Response” tab in any product/solution forum.
- Make five new friends. You can use the member search filter to narrow members down by title, vertical, and even by zip code. Have you tried searching for specifics like “Community College” in the Organization Name box? I think you will find the member search tool very helpful in making meaningful connections.

Moving forward please look for the It Takes a Community Blog to see what the Collaborator Badge Activity of the Month is and how to complete it!
We know there are so many people replying, posting questions and connecting to keep the Community collaborative that deserve this badge. Therefore, starting in June, this badge will be awarded on a monthly basis instead of a weekly basis. Those who make 5 friends (either request a connection or accept a connection), reply to a post and create a post to get people collaborating at some point from the 1st of the month to the last day of the month will earn the Collaborator Badge. I will post the members who earn it in June on July 1st! And.......
For those of you who have earned your Collaborator Badge in March - May, we want to continue acknowledging those of you who reply, post and connect each month you collaborate. Our thank you will be 200 profile points the second month you complete the Collaborator badge requirements! And yes, you probably can guess this...the 3rd month you get 300 profile points, 4th month you get 400 points.....and it will keep going up and up and up!!
Happy Collaborating!

1. What is an effective process your organization uses to X?
2. What feature in X product do you use everyday and why?
3. What is the most helpful Knowledgebase article that you have bookmarked? https://search.blackbaud.com/
4. What product report do you use for fundraising and why?
5. What new way are using your product this month that is making your work life easier?
Community feel free to reply with questions that have helped you learn from Community members too!

Tip: Did you know once you friend someone in Community their "feed" shows up on your My Community Dashboard?
I especially appreciate watching what my friends are doing in the Community right now, because it makes me feel like we really are all in this together, asking questions, replying to questions, friends connecting to new friends.
