About Becky:
Tell us about your family (fur babies count!) "I'm single and petless, but have some very wonderful houseplants to keep me company." Where do you live? "London, Ontario, Canada." What do you like to do for fun? "I am involved with a group focussed on bringing awareness and attention to the body-positive movement in my community. Through a local boutique and its owner, Ms. Christine Gionet, a wonderfully supportive and safe gathering place has been created to promote confidence, acceptance and self love at at any size. We participate in fashion shows, photo shoots, fun events, education sessions and other activities to help." |

What’s a life achievement you are particularly proud of? "My most proud moment to date is being invited to participate with my colleagues as a speaker at bbcon 2016. It was a personal goal that I set for myself that I'm striking off my bucket list ahead (two years of schedule!)." |

| Tell us about your organization: "Fanshawe is a comprehensive college serving the greater London region by providing flexible learning arrangements and experiential education opportunities developed in response to labour market needs. One of Ontario’s largest colleges – with four campuses in London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock - Fanshawe serves close to half a million people with a promise to educate, engage, empower and excite. We offer more than 200 degree, diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs to 43,000 students each year, helping people unlock their potential and achieve success in a variety of disciplines including applied arts, business, health care, human services, hospitality and technology. What’s a typical day like for you? "Every day is different for me. Sometimes I'm involved in meetings to talk through challenges or enhancements needed to our database or procedures, while other days I spend the majority of my time manipulating or interpreting data. Fortunately for me, I enjoy both aspects of my role." What’s the best part of your job? "I love that my job focusses on creating and adapting structure and solving mysteries. I feel like the Jessica Fletcher of databases!" |

What advice would you give someone starting out in the non-profit field? "Keep learning! There is so much to gain from sharing your experince in other areas and learning from people you meet at your organization and along your career path." What do you love about the Blackbaud Community? "I love that I can connect so easily with people from other organizations near and far to talk RE with. It's so reassuring to know that there are so many brilliant, passionate and helpful members of the Blackbaud Community who are willing to help users make the most of their experience with their product(s)." |

Finally.. if you were a sandwich, which kind of sandwich would you be? "Me as a sandwich? I think my family would say that my personality is perfect combination of chicken, ham, cheese, spicy, sweet, and sensibilty. So I guess that makes me a toasted chicken club on whole wheat with a side of sweet potato fries and a pickle. Mmmmmm! Gotta go! I'm going to order me for lunch!" |
