Making The Most Of Bbcon!

Sharing what you learn with others - helps you too!

As a trainer I was drawn to Tell, Show, Do: Using Adult Learning Concepts to Power Internal Training, given by Monica Mutter. It reminded me of why I was so thrilled to write a blog during bbcon. When you are learning something to share with someone else it ups your game to retain the information.

I've filled a notebook with notes when my phone inevitably died each day as I would be tweeting, checking the app, or typing in Trello. A few other VT RE users were talking about what will come of our experience and I realized that sharing the information will be the key to getting the most out of bbcon. I urge you to open your notebooks when you get back.

Select the top takeaways and present them to your office, board, or organization. They will learn something and see how valuable the experience was and perhaps give you another chance next year to get recharged, stay on top of industry best practices, and stay motivated!

Thank you Blackbaud for this amazing experience. I’m excited for the final day!
