Advocacy Roll Out For Improved Deliverability 3151

Advocacy Roll Out For Improved Deliverability

Published
Following the 17.1 release, we did some improvements in the infrastructure for advocacy in order to improve our deliverability for some of our hardest to reach targets.

As part of that improvement, we are rolling out changes in the back-end to switch targets (elected officials) from an older delivery mechanism to the new one we've recently added.  What this means for organizations, is that you really don't have to change anything in your day-to-day for setting up alerts or editing alerts.  It just means we are switching the delivery calls within our back-end system and will start monitoring those new delivery methods to evaluate their success rates.

I outlined in a previous blog post, the roll out for us updating targets within the system.  Below is the dates for the waves, and I will update the elected officials we plan to target very soon.

Thursday February 16th – State Senators and Reps from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, California, plus Governors.

Tuesday February 21st –  Updates to any Federal Senators, plus additional State Reps and Senators.

March 1st  -  State reps and senators for Washington and Minnesota were updated.

March 9  - Florida state reps with low deliverability.

March 21 -  Updating any state reps and senators that have low deliverability on a case by case situation.

We will be monitoring additonal state legislators throughout the upcoming weeks and we will move over any of those that become consistently hard to target.

We will be evaluating after March municipal and county officials as well as governors to see how we can improve deliverability in this area as well.  As we move past February, we will continually monitor all elected officials and support cases around low deliverability  in order to move them to the new delivery method and improve deliverability.

Lastly, I want to remind everyone that these changes aren't admin facing or user facing, so the change will come about without notice and the big difference will be seen in deliverability reports.
