Upcoming Change To Blackbaud Award Management And Stewardship Management
Published
Blackbaud Award Management™ and Blackbaud Stewardship Management™ offer a variety of APIs that allow you to automate the process of importing and exporting data into/out of your system. The most used APIs are the nightly applicant import and the Fund Disbursement API, but we also offer a Fund Disbursements Updater API, Applications API, Remote Identity API, and Users Export API.
Some institution's IT policies require that you add specific IP addresses to your firewall’s Allow List for outbound traffic. This allows the data to pass from your system to ours and vice versa, even if you have a firewall in place. If this is the case for your institution, your IT team previously followed this process and added our list of IP addresses to your Allow List.
What’s Changing?
On February 22, 2022, Blackbaud will make a change to enhance the security of Blackbaud Award Management™ and Stewardship Management™ that may require your attention. This change will impact the IP addresses that are associated with both solutions.
If your organization’s IT policies require that you add specific IP addresses to your firewall’s Allow List for outbound traffic, please add the IP address below by February 22, 2022, in addition to the ones previously used.
207.120.32.0/20 (207.120.32.0 - 207.120.47.255)
209.160.100.0/22 (209.160.100.0 - 209.160.103.255)
Who’s Impacted?
This change only impacts organizations that require a set of IP addresses for your firewall’s Allow List for outbound traffic. If you are not currently including Award Management and Stewardship Management IP addresses in your Allow List, then no action is required.
What Happens if We Don’t Take Action?
If your institution is one that will be impacted by this change, and you do not add the new IP addresses to your firewall Allow List, then your nightly student import and any automated API’s will stop running because they will be blocked by your institution’s firewall.
To receive notifications about your nightly user imports, within your Award Management system navigate to Site > Settings > User Imports and scroll down to the notifications section. In particular, the “Import Not Received” notification will alert you if the system has not received a student import in X days, as defined by the Delivery Offset.
