Adding Additional Addressee/Salutations to Web View

Perhaps this has been discussed previously, but I can't seem to locate a conversation on it. I did, however, find a couple of mentions in the Idea Bank…however there doesn't seem to be much concern (interest) in having Additional Add/Sal fields added in web view. Depending on the particular mailing going out, we rely on specific add/sals - i.e. Formal, Informal, Household. What are other's thoughts?
Thank you all, in advance.

  • Mary, currently there is no real hard-copy mailing capabilities in the web view. All mailings to date should be done from the db view and the capability you're talking about exists there. However, we're about to have Export arrive in the web view soon, merged with Query, and additional add/sal processing will be available with that, and BB is bringing Mail over to the web view in its various pieces — acks, receipts, reminders, Quick Letters. Just this morning at the Inside Track BB acknowledged they're working on it. So it's coming.

  • Thank you very much, Bill! I've brought this up a couple times in the past, hoping to keep it in the forefront. I didn't know that additional add/sal processing was going to be part of the query/export capabilities - thank you for this information! Yay!

  • Mary, I'm curious about your question. I can see the additional addressee/salutations we use in webview, they're in the constituent summary under name formats, and you can edit them there as well. Where are they missing from?

  • Hey, Steve! Thank you for this information! I did not realize they were in the Constituent summary. However, they are not available when adding a constituent in Batch view - there is only the option to add the Primary, and a salutation. This is where I'd love to see the additional add/sals. I'd still have to go back into the record and add them later on.
