Have You Checked RE Integration Lately?

What wealth data do you need in Raisers Edge? What biographical data do you need in ResearchPoint? I’ve been asked this question for years so let’s take a deep dive…

First let’s talk about what you need in ResearchPoint from Raiser’s Edge. Since you’ll be screening the record through WealthPoint, you want to bring in any biographical info from RE that will help you get the best matches possible.

For this reason I would absolutely include “Biographical Information” and “Preferred Address Information”.

If you want to generate research reports from ResearchPoint, you may want to include the other items such as Giving Summary, Primary Business, and Primary Solicitor. In our April release, we added Primary Solicitor (who becomes Prospect Manager in ResearchPoint) and additional formatting options for date of birth (under Biographical Information).

What to include when sending your research data back to Raiser’s Edge will depend on what information you want your RE users to see on the constituent record. We allow the following fields to be sent back to RE:

Deciding what information you need in each location is key. You may not need every asset category in RE – you may just want Estimated Wealth or Major Giving Capacity. You may also have no need to include Giving Summary in ResearchPoint. Everyone is different so we’ve given options to account for many different use cases.

If you feel there are additional RE Integration fields we should consider, I recommend putting it in the Ideas section of Community so we can review this as a Product team. I may even call you to ask why and gather more information.

Happy Researching!
