Social Media Fundraising in 2016 - Are You Connected?

Published
According to Tech Impact, nonprofits have fully embraced digital fundraising. A survey of charitable organizations reports that three of our top four engagement channels are now digital.
  • Websites
  • Email campaigns
  • Social media

The only non-digital channel in the top four is in-person events.

Social media donations have increased 70%, while all other online channels had a combined increase of 13%. Four of every five respondents to the survey said that Facebook is the most important social network; Twitter comes in second.

So how do we collect these important handles in order to ride the social media communication wave?  Check out Target Analtyics' SocialMedia Finder services:
  • Available as a stand-alone service, you can harness the power of your emails already on file.
  • If you're already a ResearchPoint customer, you can subscribe to the Social Summary service through your software. Everytime you screen a record with an email through WealthPoint you'll also receive social media handles where available.

Either way, you owe it to your organization and your supporters to begin to include marketing and solicitation through social media.
