Empower Your TeamRaiser Participants With Livestreaming Tools

Published
Now more than ever, participants are looking for new and innovative ways to fundraise in support of your organization's mission. In recent years, livestreaming has become increasingly popular as a tool for fundraising. Whether they're playing video games like Minecraft or Among Us, dancing to Baby Shark, or just sitting in front of a camera knitting, streamers can use platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook to entertain their audience while raising awareness for your cause and collecting donations.

To help support this burgeoning form of fundraising, Blackbaud has introduced new features in TeamRaiser that enable streamers to easily integrate a number of different widgets into their stream. What this means is that in addition to the traditional fundraising capabilities available in the TeamRaiser participant center such as sending emails or sharing on social media, you can now give those influencers in your housefile a brand new way to bring TeamRaiser with them to the platform of their choice.

Using popular third-party streaming tools such as Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), participants can now layer fundraising progress bars, donation tickers, and animated pop-up alerts on top of their stream's content, and with donation links and QR codes, driving viewers to donate is simple. Since these donation links point to your existing TeamRaiser donation form, all donations that are made will flow through your existing merchant account, and will show up in your Luminate Online reports and sync to your CRM just like any other donation made on your website.

To get started, simply fill out the form at https://www.blackbaud.com/livestreaming-in-blackbaud-teamraiser, and someone from Blackbaud will reach out with more information.

Good to know, Noah Cooper‍!

With CFF being on 3rd party processor IATS, and a 3rd party CRM, will we still see TeamRaiser donations from a gamer's chosen streaming platform in Luminate / Teamraiser for specific child events?

cc-ing  Shana Masterson‍ I was just asking similar questions to her, before I saw this Dec 2020 BLOG!!  I was hoping that the fact that we don't use the P2P Fundraising product on the Just Giving platform wouldn't be a hinderance to anything that we're hoping to do.

Thanks,

This looks very interesting! Do we have to use PC3 to offer these tools to our participants?
Nope! This will work with PC2 as well.
Very cool! Is this only available in the US at this time Noah Cooper‍?
Ruth Macfarlane‍ it's actually not US specific! This can be used by any organization using Luminate Online in any country. The only caveat is that right now the participant center tools are only available in English.
