Common Constituent Import Mistakes
Published
Custom constituent imports allow you to import or update constituent information directly into Luminate Online.
When creating a file to import constituents into Luminate Online, be sure to avoid these five common mistakes:
- Forgetting to add headers in the top row, either altogether or skipping a column by accident.
- Forgetting to include required fields, such as First Name, Last Name, and Email Address or Constituent ID.
- Including data from multiple records in one row, such as the email being listed on one record but the Member ID being listed on a different one.
- Not including a column for the Accept Email field, or not setting the field to TRUE for all constituents that wish to receive email.
- Adding records to the opt-in group instead of the corresponding interest category.
