According to the Microsoft website, “After 12 years, support for Windows XP will end on April 8, 2014. There will be no more security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system. It is very important that customers and partners migrate to a modern operating system such as Windows 8.1.” Support for Office 2003 will be ending on this date as well. For more information on the end of support for XP, please review the End of Support page on the Windows website.

For our hosted customers who plan to update to Windows 8, you will need to be on version 3.3 or higher of the Citrix Receiver for Windows. As we mentioned in our previous post, users will be able to download Citrix Receiver 4.1 for Windows directly from the hosting landing page for your data center. Previous versions of the receiver are compatible with Windows 7, but we recommend updating to the latest version at your earliest convenience. Documentation for the current and previous version of the Citrix Receiver, including system requirements, can be found on the Citrix support website.

Step-by-step instructions, including a short demo video, for installing the Receiver are documented in the Knowledgebase solution, How to download and Install the Citrix Application (includes demo).

If you need assistance installing the latest version, please create a case on Case Central, choose your product, and select the Blackbaud Application Hosting topic or contact our Hosting Support team using our chat feature.
