New Single Sign-on For Google G Suite Now Available!

Published
Set up Single Sign-On (SSO) with Blackbaud ID and Google G Suite
To simplify your members' sign-in experience and ease maintenance of their passwords and access, you can join hundreds of other organizations that enable single sign-on (SSO) for Blackbaud ID through an identity provider (IdP). With SSO, members sign in to their Blackbaud solutions with the same credentials they use to access your network and other applications, based on your organization's email domain. Your organization can now enable SSO through Google G Suite.

To get started, organization admins can create a G Suite connection under Authentication in Admin. For more information, see the Google G Suite Setup Help. If you use Blackbaud Education Management, also check out the announcement in the blog for additional details.

To enable SSO through Google, you can also — still — set up a SAML 2.0 connection. However, we recommend a G Suite connection if your members use multiple Google accounts — such as for personal and work use — or share devices with others who sign into Google. If you previously set up a SAML 2.0 connection for Google, you can disconnect it to create a G Suite connection instead. For more information, see the SAML 2.0 or G Suite for Google SSO? Help.

I had no idea this was possible. That's great!
Single sign on is great, except we have a lot of problems with our college interns and their university email address being private and creating issues in our Internet browser. Otherwise is works well!
Wow, how cool is this?!
Nice feature!
