I’m all about timesavers, in every aspect of life! Taking back roads to skip the forever traffic lights that define SE Florida traffic, Using the Dunkin’ or Starbucks app to order ahead and pick up on the fly, preparing large batches of a dish and freezing in portions for stress-free dinners later on. You get the idea, right?
My Raiser’s Edge timesavers are my favorites! If I can get through a project in half the time, I’m all for it! Many of these have been mentioned in other posts and blogs, but there might be one or two that pop out as new to you!
One of my favorite tricks is using the Alt key with a number to add special characters. In South Florida we have a ton of names with é, ñ, ö…you get the drift. I have this tool saved to my desktop if I need to find the quick keys for a new special character. And then there’s alt+0134 for † to indicate deceased in Annual Reports.
My next favorite, which I know has been mentioned in the Community, is the Specific Record Query, and the fact that you can paste multiple entries. I use this a ton!
And finally, for now at least, my favorite RE NXT trick is the ability to add photos to constituents, and drag and drop attachments! All of my Board members have photos, as do our Auxiliary members. I’m working on expanding that feature to more of our constituent base.
