What's New (January 7)
Child Check-in
It’s now easier for caregivers to identify on check-in labels and rosters when a child has private care notes on their record and whether the child’s care issue is critical or non-critical.
Improvements to child check-in labels, rosters, and child records include:
-
When you edit a child’s care information and select This child has a significant medical condition or personal situation under Care notes, you’re now required to enter notes about the critical issue.
-
When care notes are entered for a child, labels display Care info: See record. To distinguish between critical and non-critical issues, labels include for critical care notes or for non-critical care notes. Labels also include a list of allergies, if entered.
-
On staffed stations, printed rosters, and the child’s constituent record under Child check-in, Care notes now displays for critical care notes or for non-critical care notes.
-
The class attendance list now displays Care notes for critical care notes or Care notes for non-critical care notes. Expand the child’s row to view detailed information including allergies, care notes, and which chaperone checked in the child (labeled Present).
For more information, see Check-in.
VolunteersFilter a list of available volunteers - To help quickly narrow down available volunteers to add to opportunities or teams, you can now filter the list by position and team.
-
To add volunteers to a team, from Volunteers, select the team name, Add volunteer.
-
To assign volunteers to an opportunity, from Volunteers, Opportunities or Volunteer opportunities on an event record, select Manage volunteers from the opportunity’s menu .
When you add a volunteer to a team or opportunity, you can select All volunteers and choose a position to narrow the list to only volunteers that match a specific position or select Select team and choose a team to narrow the list to only volunteers that are part of a specific team
For more information, see Volunteers List , Volunteer Opportunities, and Event Records.
Cancel a volunteer opportunity series - You may need to cancel all future occurrences of a volunteer opportunity series, rather than an individual volunteer opportunity, such as when the opportunity is no longer needed to support an associated event. For example, you may want to remove food preparation volunteers if you want to have the event catered. To remove all future opportunity occurrences in a series, from the opportunity occurrence record, select Edit, End series.
If you cancel a volunteer opportunity series, all volunteers are removed from future occurrences of the opportunity and future opportunities will be removed from calendars.
For more information, see Opportunity Records.
Filter volunteers from volunteer opportunities and teams - To help you more easily review volunteer information on volunteer opportunities and teams, more volunteer filters are available from Volunteers:
-
From Opportunities, select Filter. Under Opportunities basics, include volunteer opportunities that have been canceled.
-
From Volunteers, select a team name, Filter. Under Volunteer basics, include team members that have been removed from the team in the list of volunteers.
For more information, see Volunteers Filters.
