Hi Church Community! Our list is short this week but we have lots of great features coming to you very soon!

Constituent Lists
You can now create lists of children based on grade levels. In ListsConstituents, build or open a list and select Filters and then Constituent basics. Under Constituent characteristics, select Grade levels and then choose which grade levels to include in the list.

For more information, see Constituent Basics Filters.

Hi Denise Czapla‍! The grade level filter only appears in web view. If you create the list in web view and then select “Save in database view as a query list” or "Save in database view as a static query," you can then access your list in the database view for your labels. Hope this helps!

Love that this is an option now!!  Looking to print labels by grade level in database view...Could you direct me to where this filter is in the query list?  Can't seem to find it...
OK, sorry, missed that about the way Lists were designed. Emailing the chaperones is fine if we are just sending to one class. But we send the same email out to multiple classes and grades.  I'll just stick with my manually created list of parents per grade and then when promotion happens, I will "promote" the parent lists manually by changing their list names. Thanks for the response.
Hi Kasey Kalchert‍ - we do have Grade Promotion but it is not automatic due to different churches considering "promotion Sunday" on different dates. You can do this in Events > Classes > Configuration though: https://webfiles.blackbaud.com/files/support/helpfiles/church/content/events-check-in-grade-level-promotion.html

Chris Dickey‍ as we discussed before, List filters that output other people is outside of what Lists was originally built for and would take a re-imagining of sorts to do this. Does emailing the Chaperone's out of the class not help here? We'll keep brainstorming on ways to help get the Parents.
Thank you for adding Grade Levels to lists. Is it on the schedule very to be able to filter the parents of each of those grade levels so we can create a 1st grade parent list? It has really been difficult not having those lists already generated during COVID. We had to manually create the list (adding one parent at a time to each grade list) so we can get emails out to our parents during this time frame. Thanks again!
do the grade levels automatically update for each school year, or do you have to go in each year and update all the children?
