Happy Tuesday! Check out the latest in Blackbaud Church Management:

  • Print multiple classes on a check-in label
  • Enhanced duplicate matching

Classes
Responding to feedback from our Community, we made improvements to label printing. When a chaperone checks a child in to multiple classes during one station visit, the label now displays the name and location for up to three classes. Previously, a label printed for each class the child checked in to, which caused waste and confusion.

Note: You don't need to update your label printing settings — this change occurs automatically behind the scenes

Duplicate matching
Under Tools, Data Health, you can review potential duplicates. In addition, when you add a constituent record, you can see any matches to potential duplicates to help you avoid adding a repeat record. To more accurately identify potential duplicates, the duplicate search now includes matches on former names for constituents (known as maiden names in the database view). Previously, the duplicate search only matched identical last names. This can be helpful especially for older records such as alumni whose names might have changed.
