Make your Voice Heard With Community Ideas!

Published

What’s great about the K12 community is that it gives everyone here at Blackbaud another avenue to communicate directly with you, our end users.

This isn’t a strictly one-sided conversation, however, because we want to hear from you as well. Through the Blackbaud Community website, certain tools like discussions enable users to post their thoughts or information for others as well. Another powerful community tool that benefits both K12 users and developers you should know about is called Ideas.

Have thoughts on how to make the K12 “ON” Products better or a way to accomplish something in an easier way? Then visit the Ideas section on the community website, where new ideas can be created and voted on by the community.

Through Ideas, community users can also sort through recent, trending, and popular ideas as well as filter by a particular status (planned, under consideration, etc) or K12 product. See something you like? Add a vote to push the idea towards the top of the pile, or leave a comment with your thoughts. If you feel like you have a great idea you want people to know about, simply add a new one!

Community ideas are important to us and they drive a lot of what we focus on for our releases each month. For example, with the upcoming February release, the onCampus team is set to close out ideas with a combined total of 302 votes. The onBoard team is also following suit by closing out a number of ideas with a combined total of 219 votes. These include some highly requested community topics like being able to delete an official note and importing text from a prior year's bulletin board.

As always, make sure to subscribe to the K12 community for all sorts of information including these weekly blogs. Next week we’re planning to pull the curtain back on the upcoming EAP for Blackbaud ID. Don’t miss it! We’ll see you then!
