Data Health Webinar : A Couple of Questions for You! Plus -- SIGN UP!

We had a great session at BBCON on data health. Part of it was really good conversation surrounding how to implement a data health plan as part of your overall development plan for the year.

In preparation for our webinar on this topic on November 19th (I hope you will join me!)... my curiousity is peaked and I'd like to hear from the community. Feel free to answer on this blog!
  • Do you have a formal data health plan?
  • When is the last time your organization spent time cleaning up data?
  • Is it part of your overall development plan?
  • What is your biggest question or concern as it relates to data health?
Let me know your answers and thoughts on this! I'd love to be able to work your answers into my webinar on the 19th! If you'd like to register - click HERE. ~Pam

Bethanny, yes we'll have a recording!
I would love to attend the webinar but am going to be in a series of meetings all week. Will it be available to view later? Thanks! Bethany

Cape Fear Habitat's Data Health Plan includes running queries to audit entry of demographic and gift information. We run the duplicate report approx. every month which usually coincides with our data import from our ReStore Pickup database. This frequency may change as we are soon going to start importing volunteer records, almost in real time, from Volunteer Hub. I have been here a year and have completed several cleaning up data initiatives as there was little standardization of entry prior to my arrival. Account type fields were populated on all records, personas were corrected/updated, UDFs were added to track, BOD/Committee and Church Affiliations. We upgraded to the Pro Package and run the NCOA Update quarterly marking the records with USPS changes as appropriate Due to the eTapestry Name Conversion upgrade; much time (about 5 weeks) has been spent with working on the records/name formats/updating the existing salutation fields that were not part of the upgrade. We have a new Development Director so I am not sure whether data health is on the plan. My biggest concern with respect to data health is the time involved with determining whether there are duplicates with data being automatically downloaded into eTapestry from other applications, like VolunteerHub or through our DIY Forms. There is always cleanup involved. I have attended the Webinar before and found it very helpful! Thanks!
