Important Update | Recurring Memberships and Altru Payment Terminals

We recently became aware of an issue for customers who use Altru Payment Terminals when selling recurring memberships, and we wanted to make all Altru customers aware. When the “renew this membership automatically” option is selected in Daily Sales or Advance Sales and a credit card is processed through an Altru Payment Terminal (Verifone P400 and BBPOS WisePOS E), the recurring payments will not automatically recur in the EFT process after the initial payment is processed. We are exploring bringing this capability to Altru Payment Terminals in the future to make this a better customer experience, and we have steps included in this blog to help you.

Actions you can take if your organization uses an Altru Payment Terminal

  • If your organization would like to avoid this issue, we recommend setting up a dedicated tablet or QR code to allow the patron to enter their information into a membership form directly instead of using the Altru Payment terminal

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We’ve already reached out to all Altru customers who have purchased Altru Payment Terminals and wanted to make all Altru customers aware.
