Published

Welcome to June’s edition of the Buzz. Inside you’ll find details about the new Blackbaud Impact Awards, a revived community feature that will help you build connections, a new blog featuring our Community All-Stars and our June exclusive badge opportunity, and more!

Hello community and happy June!

We are starting this month’s the Buzz by celebrating YOU!

Blackbaud Impact Awards

Nominations are now open through July 12th for the Blackbaud Impact awards, which will recognize and celebrate the amazing achievements of our customers and the impact they are making every day with the help of their Blackbaud software.

With six award categories honoring organizations and leaders, there is a chance for everyone to highlight their work. The categories are: The Silo Buster Award, The Changemaker Award, The Fueling Greatness Awards, The Data Strategist Award, The Futurist Award, and The Outstanding Leadership Award.

You can read more details about the awards and the winner benefits (which include a free pass to bbcon 2024 in Seattle, WA!) here. The nomination period ends on July 12th.

Happening Now: bbdevdays! There’s still time to register!

bbdevdays is in full swing with two days left, and attendees are learning a lot and having fun. If you want to learn more about how you can automate and enhance your Blackbaud solutions alongside pros and your peers, register now to attend the rest of the conference today and tomorrow.

There’s also still time to apply for a bbdevdays Innovation Grant for a creative idea using the Microsoft Power Platform – applications are due tomorrow, June 6th. The winners will receive free professional service hours to help bring their ideas to life. Get more details and apply here.

June Community Challenge:

The Blackbaud Community All-Stars are highly engaged members, and they are giving YOU tips for getting started, engaging, and making the most out of our community in this new blog post.

For June’s exclusive badge challenge, we want to know your favorite tip or trick for engaging in the Blackbaud Community. If you reply to this post with your best tip for using the Community, you’ll receive this badge:

Let’s share those tips!

Community Tip of the Month:

The ability to search for members by location is now back! We heard your feedback on how useful that feature is to build connections in their area, and you can now update your profile information with your city, state, or country. This feature is OPTIONAL and only members who complete that section of their profile will be searchable by location. You can add your location by going to your profile and editing your “about me” section. You can also search for members in your area by going to member search and using the filters to find members in your location.

Note: The location field is not retroactive – you will need to update your location even if you previously had that field populated.

Keep the Conversation Going: Skills UP!

We hope you’ve had a chance to attend the first two Skills UP webinars and we invite you to join the conversation about these sessions in the Organizational Best Practices community:

Community Kudos!

We want to welcome back the 2,300+ members who recently logged back in after being inactive for a bit. Those members received a “boomerang” badge, so if you see one on their profile be sure to welcome them back! We want to give a special shout-out to Cynthia Mitchell who not only logged back in, but then took an additional 25 actions. Way to re-engage, Cynthia!

Christine Robertson, a Blackbaud Community All-Star earned the most points in May with a whopping 52,335!

Carlene Johnson also helped roll out the welcome wagon for new members and was the #2 top contributor last month.

Alex Wong continues to be a strong helping presence by answering 151 questions in May!

bbcon 2024

Early bird registration for bbcon 2024 in Seattle, WA ends June 26th. Make sure to register before prices go up! If you’ve already registered, be sure to grab your attendee badge here and your profile cover photo here to let the community know you are going! And if you have fond or funny memories of past bbcons, share them here.

BBCON Session List?

Is there an ETA for when the sessions are going to be posted? Early bird expires relatively soon, and it's hard to justify the budget for an expensive conference without the session list.

Thanks! Happy June everyone! Hope to see you all in Seattle!!!

Happy Birthday to all!

Excited to easily search for my local Raiser's Edge users again!! :D

I'm receiving the “Forbidden” message as well…

Thank you

Fixed now!

Thank you, Crystal.

I get a “Forbidden - You don't have permission to access this resource.” error when I try to access the new blog even though I'm logged in. Please advise.

Thank you!

Thanks! Code was broken. It is fixed!

Thanks for the search by location! It will definitely be helpful.

This was a crazy spring here, so I think I may have fallen behind a bit. We compressed our school year a bit, and I don't mind saying-I needed that time I lost.
