Stuff You Need To Know About Receipts And Annual Statements

As a quick tip to get you started, let's talk a bit about the available fields when producing Receipts. A receipt parameter in the Mail module can include many fields, but sometimes you may want to include additional fields that aren't available.


But I need the receipt to show the gift's linked Event! What ever is a poor DBA to do? 

Never fear! RE has many ways to create a mailing, so there are a few different options. Some users may find that the Annual Statement Report can provide a good summary for the year, or a Mail Merge Export can give you a more customized list of fields. Using the Mail Merge Wizard in Export, you can create a mailing that includes a merge field for any field that can be exported.

Once you've chosen the needed fields (Event fields are for the optional Events module), just click Edit Merge Document to set up the merge document just like in Mail. For more information on both of these options, check out our Knowledgebase article on year-end statements.
