What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT The Week Of June 1

Published

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT® introduces an enhancement for events. Also, the waved roll out of the integration between JustGiving®, powered by Blackbaud® and Raiser's Edge NXT begins for customers outside of the United States.

Find events based on ID
To help you quickly find specific events, you can now search for event records by their custom identifiers — known as lookup IDs. From Events, enter an event’s lookup ID in the search field and select the magnifying glass fa-search.png. To verify the list includes the correct events, you can also select Columns fa-columns.png and include Lookup ID. Previously, you could only search by and view event names.

In addition to the custom identifier your organization adds, every event includes a system identifier — sometimes known as the primary key — that’s available through Blackbaud Sky®. To clarify the difference between the two, the ID field in web view is now Lookup ID on an event’s record under Details.

Note: In the database view, you can add a lookup ID in the ID field on the General tab of an event’s record.

Add JustGiving gift and donor data into Raiser's Edge NXT (for more of you)
JustGiving fundraisers spread your organization's mission and raise funds on your behalf. Now you can add JustGiving fundraising page owner, donor, and gift data into Raiser's Edge NXT. From Control panel, Settings, select JustGiving Integration and set up defaults for new gift records and new constituents from JustGiving. For more information, see JustGiving Integration.

Good to have the event ID lookup. Is there a gift ID one? We use that to line up with our accounting system, but I have only found a way to grab that number in a database query. I would like to have it in NXT gift lists.

Thanks for the suggestion. The best way to let the Product Management team know is to add or vote on ideas in the Idea Bank. I took a look, and found an idea you can vote on:
