Didn't you already run this webinar?

We had a previous version of this webinar, from summer 2020. A lot of features have been updated since then. If you tuned in during the summer of 2020 and made your decision about which type of donation form to use based on that information, we urge you to check out the updated webinar, because things have changed.

If the donor is marked Requests No Email, will they still get an email receipt/acknowledgement from the RE NXT Donation Form?

No, not at this time.

Questions on Constituent Matching



With the automated processing in RE NXT Donation Forms, is current information overwritten with what the donor inputs into the form (i.e. if they type their name in all caps)?

Names in the database are not overwritten with what is entered in the form.

If a fuzzy match of the First Name field occurs, is the Preferred Name updated with the name the donor entered?

A second layer of matching analysis occurs to determine which is the more likely match (such as comparing addresses). If it can’t be matched, then a new constituent record is created.

What happens if an existing donor enters a new address?

New addresses are automatically added to the constituent’s record. There are address settings in Tools > Settings where you can define whether or not you want this new address to be marked as Primary. It looks like this:



If spouses share an email address, how does that affect the matching?

Remember that the matching formula is this:

Fuzzy Match of First Name AND Exact Match of Last Name AND Exact Match of Phone/Email.

As long as the spouses do not have the same first name, there shouldn’t be an issue.

Does it take into account all phone numbers/email address?

Yes, regardless of type, and regardless of active status - it accounts for active and inactive phone numbers and email addresses.

How about suffixes?

It doesn't. We cannot currently collect suffix information on RE NXT Donation Forms, so there is not a way to match on an existing Constituent's suffix.

Can I switch the Constituent that got matched in a Batch?

Yes. Also, if you merge Constituents while gifts are pending in a Batch, the target Constituent is replaced in the Batch.
