What's New In Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT® — January 16th

Here are the latest changes in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT® for January 16th, 2023.

• Raise more with donation forms in Online Giving (for some of you)
• Accept online registrations for events (for some of you in Canada)
• Support for middle name fields on registration forms (for some of you)
• Manage tables in web view (for some of you)
• Action list improvements (for some of you)
• Add a designation and appeal to Optimized Donation Form hyperlinks (for some of you)

Raise more with donation forms in Online Giving (for some of you)

From the web view, you can now access Online Giving to create Optimized Donation Forms and access your (standard) forms. Optimized forms encourage donors to complete transactions because of a new streamlined design that captures payments before collecting contact information. They also require minimal setup and include the same fee coverage options as standard forms.



Optimized forms:

• Use a branding card you customize with images and your mission statement.
• Are visually appealing, intuitive, and engaging.
• Automatically adjust to increase higher than average gift amounts based on donor data analysis.
• Display anywhere on your website without creating new web pages.

To access Optimized forms, navigate to Online Giving from the solution menu. From Online Giving, you can also:

• Manage users, roles, and settings for optimized and Standard Donation Forms.
• Set up a Blackbaud Merchant Services account, if necessary.

Note: As part of this transition, all your existing donation form users, roles, and settings migrated to Online Giving. However, you can continue to manage them from Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Accept online registrations for events (for some of you in Canada)

You can now let people register for your events online through Online Registration Forms. These forms let your constituents sign themselves and others up for an event, enter their contact information, choose to make an additional donation, and pay their registration fees (for paid events). From an event record, under Online registration forms, you can add a new form, edit an existing form, or review stats of the effectiveness of your existing forms. In the Form Designer, you can style your form to mimic the branding of your organization's website.

Support for middle name fields on registration forms (for some of you)

When you add a registration form, you can now include an optional field to collect registrant or payment middle name information. To add the middle name fields to a form, from an event record, add or edit a form under Online registration forms. Select Form to open Form builder. To edit registrant or payment name fields, hover over the names section of the form and select Click to edit. Select to include the middle name field and edit the label if necessary.

Manage tables in web view (for some of you)

We’ve moved the ability to manage table values, clean up table entries, and add new donor category tables from Tables under Configuration in database view to web view. To manage tables in web view, navigate to Control panel, Tables.

Action list improvements (for some of you)

To help you better query your data, we addressed multiple requests submitted through the idea bank and improved action lists.



From Lists, Actions and Fundraising, Work, Actions, you can now:

• Use custom fields as columns and filters.
  
  
• Use Location, Priority, and System record ID as columns and filters. You can also use Constituent status as a filter.
  
  
• Sort lists by multiple columns and select the sort order for each column.
  
  
• Include System record ID in exports.
  
  
• Further refine list filters with the new All of these values, Any of these values, None of these values, No value, and Any value operators.
  
  

Add a designation and appeal to Optimized Donation Form hyperlinks (for some of you)

Now, in Online Giving, you can add a designation and appeal through an Optimized Donation Form's hyperlinks without adding them to the form. This enables you to add &desid=ID and &appealid=ID to the end of the links. To find the IDs you want to use, edit an Optimized Form from Blackbaud Apps, Online Giving.

• For designations, from Donation, Designations, select Show All. Enter the designation name and make note of its ID.
  
  
• For appeals, from Optional fields, Hidden fields, enter the appeal name and make note of its ID.
  
  

Close the form and copy the type of hyperlink you want to use under Publish, Hyperlinks. Next, append the parameter and its ID to the end of the link inside the quotation marks. For more information, see Parameters in Online Giving Help Center.
